Kevin Bercier, 57, of Williston, North Dakota, passed away Thursday evening, April 11, 2019 at the CHI St. Alexius Health Williston Medical Center.
Kevin was born on November 3, 1961 in Williston, North Dakota to Bernard and Ilene (Dutton) Bercier. With the exception of a few moves as a young child, due to his father’s job, Kevin resided in Williston. He graduated from Williston High School in 1981 and furthered his education with degrees in business and a bachelor’s degree in university studies form Dickinson State University that he was very proud of.
He worked various jobs in the customer service industry, which led to many great friendships. He was most known for his time spent working at the Elks and Albertsons. He enjoyed baking and was a good cook.
Kevin was Godfather to his nephew, Cody, and was always a part of his and his niece, Rachel’s life. When Kevin’s sister, Karen became ill, he stepped in to help raise Cody and Rachel. He played the role of “The other Dad”. Kevin worked night shifts so that he could be with Cody and Rachel during the day, taking them to school and their appointments while Cody and Rachel’s father, Cal was working during the day. Kevin was always there for Cody and Rachel, right up until the day he passed away. He became “Uncle Grandpa” as he called it when Cody and Rachel had children of their own.
Surviving Kevin are Cody Hendrickson and his children, Jayden and Tarrent; Rachel (Josh) Santanen and their children Kaitlyn and Levi; nephew, Jared (Paige) McDaniel and family; sisters, Kelly (Roger) Bauch and family and Michelle (Larry) Kueffler and family.
Preceding Kevin in death were his parents, Bernard and Ilene and sister, Karen Bercier Hendrickson.
Kevin never gave up, and always remained hopeful. His good sense of humor, his contagious laugh, and his infectious smile will be deeply missed.
