A Memorial Service celebrating Nyla’s life will be held on Saturday morning, June 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church Chapel in Williston. The service is open to all friends and family.


Friends may call at the Everson Coughlin Funeral Home on Friday from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM and at the church of Saturday for the hour preceding the memorial service.


Interment of the cremated remain will follow in the Riverview Cemetery

Dr. Nyla K. Hanson, 58, formerly of Williston, North Dakota passed away February 22, 2019 in Colorado, from natural causes.

Nyla Kay Hanson was born August 20, 1960 to Ralph and Donna (Sundquist) Hanson in Williston.

After graduating from Williston High School in 1978, Nyla went on to NDSU. Upon graduating from NDSU, she attended Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, MN where she earned her D.C. degree in May, 1989. She then moved to Danielson, CT where she practiced chiropractic medicine until moving to Longmont, CO in 2002.

Nyla loved treating her patients and helping others in need. She also loved and cherished her pets. She had many close friends, and will be deeply missed by all.

Nyla is survived by her father, Ralph M. Hanson (Arlene Guenther) of Williston; sister, Natalie Hanagan of Williston; sister, Nina Frank (Roger) of Austin, TX; uncle, Gary Sundquist (Beverly) Williston; five nieces and nephews, Jason Hanagan (Heather) of CO and Raelynn; Jana Cooper (Josh) of WY and Addilyn; Jared Hanagan and Kaesyn; Janell Sandvold (Tyler) and Colter; Jamie Thoreson (Ryan) and Liam all of Williston; several cousins, and her longtime friend Wayne Gardner of CO.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna C. Hanson; maternal grandparents, Herman and Nellie Sundquist; paternal grandparents, Melvin and Vivian Hanson; aunts, Leila Hanson and Betty Kretman; uncles, Ray Hanson, Marv Hanson and Henry Hanson.
