A memorial service celebrating Shelly’s life will be held Saturday morning, June 23, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Everson Coughlin Memorial Chapel in Williston. Rev. Steve Anderson will officiate.
Friends may call at the Everson Coughlin Funeral Home Friday from 9:00 AM until 7:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM until service time at the Funeral Home.
Interment of his cremated remains will follow the service at Hillside Memory Gardens in Williston.

Shelly Orlyn Huwe, 59, of Williston, North Dakota, most recently of the Eastern Montana Veterans Home in Glendive, Montana, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 13, 2018, at the Sanford Health in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Shelly was born on the 6th of November, 1958. He was residing at the Eastern Montana Veterans Home when he passed on the 13th of June, 2018. He was on his way to Minot, ND to visit his daughters when he took ill and was taken by ambulance to Sanford Hospital in Bismarck. He was hospitalized for approximately 5 weeks before he went to be with the Lord.
He was raised in Williston, ND and graduated from Williston High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served honorably until he left the military to return to private life.
He enjoyed a career in baking and had graduated from baking school in South Dakota. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout.
He met and married Jodi Smith in South Dakota and later divorced. They had two girls while married. He enjoyed fishing especially with his Uncle Tex.
Shelly is survived by two daughters, Jasmine Huwe, her children Wade Thomas Edin, Bradley Vern Edin; his daughter, Catherine Thurn and husband Justin Jacob Thurn and their daughter, Annabelle Renee Thurn. He is also survived by brothers, Ronald Huwe, Gaylen Huwe, Kendal Huwe and twin sister, Sherry Huwe Clavette; numerous aunts and uncles and lots of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He will be missed by all of his friends he met through his AA program not to mention all of the staff and friends at the Eastern Montana Veterans Home in Glendive, Montana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Harriett Huwe; brother, Verlyn Huwe; both sets of Grandparents; several of his aunts and uncles and most recently a great nephew and two nieces. Rest in peace Shelly, we love and miss you so much.
